Introduction:

Lu An Gua Pian Tea, a Green Tea, is one of the 10 most famous Chinese Teas . The literal English Translation for the tea is Liu An Melon Seed, or Liu An Melon Slice. The Tea is grown in the Liu An County in the Dabie Mountains of China's Western Anhui Province. The tea is a truly elegant tea with a light and almost spicy aroma. The taste of the tea is very smooth and has a hint of sweetness to it. The tea got its name from the shape of the processed tea leaves. They are flat and oval, resembling a melon seed. In early spring the tea growers cut off the end of the tea tree branches and use the second tea leaf and not the bud, as in most teas. Each leaf's central vein is cut out and the leaves are pan fried over low heat. During the frying stage, the leaves are shaped into the melon seed shape.

Lu An Gua Pian Tea can not only help to eliminate the hotness and satisfy the thirsty, but also the digestion. It is also said to be able to help improve vision and sleep disorder. Consequently, it is regarded as a treasure tea.

Preparation Methods: 1. Put 2g Lu An Gua Pian Tea into a glass;
2. Pour into the glass 100ml 80°C water;
3. Brew for 1-2 minutes. One minute for delicate taste, two minutes for stronger taste;
4. The Lu An Gua Pian Tea stands up to four brewing.
Flavor \taste note: The floral taste and aftertaste of a cup of Lu An Gua Pian is a reminiscence of Tie Guan Yin tea. The pleasant floral sweetness of the tea gradually fills your mouth. Very refreshing and smooth.
Dried leaves: Unlike the other premium quality Chinese green teas, Lu An Gua Pian Tea is made by only using the tea leaves and no buds at all. The emerald-green dried tea leaves are flat and oval, resembling a melon seed.
Liquor:

Bright, clear and transparent, with very light yellowish green color.

Brewed Tealeaves: The brewed leaves appear to be all whole leaves, showing a fresh, bright and even green in color. When touched with finger, the leaves are thick but soft and elastic.
