Introduction: |
Since the tea gardens in Huangshan City are all contracted to households and managed by tea farmers families, it is difficult to implement joint management with unified organic standards. It is a very challenging task to find organic Huangshan Maofeng. After years of hard work, we finally found this organic Huangshan Maofeng in the Baiji Mountains in Xiuning County.
The Baiji Mountains are located at the junction of Anhui and Zhejiang in the southeast of Huangshan City, Anhui Province, and are the boundary mountains of the two provinces. The main peak, Gechuanjian, has an altitude of 1,481 meters. Baiji Mountain is named because it is as high as the sky. It is the origin of black and white Huizhou. The Baiji Mountains range from northeast to southwest, connected to the Tianmu Mountains in the north and the Huaiyu Mountains in the south. It is majestic. The main part of the mountain range is located in Xiuning County, She County, Huangshan City and Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province. It has been a natural barrier between the two provinces. Since the Qing Dynasty, our ancestors have opened up many tea gardens in Baiji Mountain in Xiuning County. However, with the population decline and a large number of people moving to cities in recent years, there are fewer and fewer villagers in the villages in Baiji Mountains. In addition, these tea gardens are scattered in the middle of deep mountains and dense forests at high altitudes, so they have gradually been abandoned. We discovered a large abandoned tea garden hidden in a deep mountain canyon at an altitude of more than 800 meters in Baiji Mountain, Xiuning, and signed a long-term contract with local villagers to ensure the exclusive purchase of fresh leaves here. The old tea bushes here have been abandoned for many years without human care and have been mixed with naturally grown plants. It is very difficult to pick them. Tea workers go into the mountains early in the morning to pick tea leaves for most of the day and can only bring back a small amount of fresh tea leaves. They go down the mountains and go to the village for production, so the output is very low and the cost is high. This Organic Huangshan Maofeng tea does not look very good in appearance, but the internal quality is very rich, and the aftertaste is more obvious. It is highly recommended.
